The weather has been surprisingly good these days, so we went out to Tatton Park on Saturday. To our amazement, we met another germano-franco-anglophonic family!
When I got out of the car and asked Lilia to put on her hat, I heard a little girl behind me say "Mom! They speak German, too!" (in German). At the same time, Souad got off the car on the other side and heard a guy speak French to his little son.
Turns out the mother is German, the father is from Belgium, and they live in the UK, just like us.
I guess Lilia is not that special, after all. How many "multies" are there in Manchester?
Makes me wonder: will she naturally spend more time with other multi-lingual kids when she grows up?
